Midwifery
Train senior technicians to support the pregnant woman, the couple and the newborn, from antenatal consultation through the postnatal period.
Program Overview
The Midwifery BTS programme trains healthcare professionals whose mission is to accompany pregnant women throughout their pregnancy — from establishing the diagnosis to the day of delivery — to lead childbirth preparation sessions, to manage delivery independently, to care for the newborn and, where necessary, to perform resuscitation manoeuvres and monitor the mother's recovery. The midwife also provides gynaecological follow-up (prescribing and fitting contraceptives, perineal rehabilitation and medical termination of pregnancy).
