Dr. Havérie Ghislaine Ateba Mimfoumou is a highly accomplished Medical Biologist and healthcare executive with over two decades of clinical, laboratory, and academic leadership in Cameroon. She currently serves as the Head of the Medical Analysis Laboratory and Blood Bank at Jamot Hospital in Yaoundé, a position she has held since January 2013. Additionally, she lends her expertise as a Medical Biologist to the CERIMED Medical Analysis Laboratory in Elig-Effa and as a lecturer at the University of Ebolowa.

Dr. Ateba Mimfoumou has built an extensive career spanning laboratory management, clinical research, specialized training, and university-level instruction. Throughout her career, she has held key positions including General Practitioner at the Chantal Biya Foundation's Mother and Child Center, lecturer at the University of Ngaoundéré, and Head of Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics at Bafia District Hospital. Her technical mastery encompasses advanced biological diagnosis in hematology, biochemistry, bacteriology, virology, parasitology, and mycology.

A committed researcher and international collaborator, Dr. Ateba Mimfoumou has contributed to published scientific studies in infectious-disease serosurveillance and community health, including research on asymptomatic dengue virus transmission and the spread of SARS-CoV-2 among blood donors in Cameroon, as well as urinary schistosomiasis among school children. She has also taken part in major public health initiatives, including tuberculosis diagnostics (TB-LAMP) and the Global Fund and African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM) LabCop programmes.

Dr. Ateba Mimfoumou holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in General Medicine (2004) and a specialized Advanced Studies Diploma (DES) in Clinical Biology (2012) from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Yaoundé I. She is fluent in French, with a professional working knowledge of English and a mastery of her native Ewondo.
