Are the qualifications awarded by CAMASSISTANCE recognised?
Yes. All our programmes are designed in strict compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education (MINESUP) and the Ministry of Public Health (MINSANTE). Our qualifications (Higher National Diplomas, Professional Bachelor's degrees and Master's degrees) follow the LMD system, guaranteeing their national and international validity.
Is it possible to take courses remotely?
Yes, for certain programmes. Through our e-learning platform, we offer hybrid formats (in-person and remote) particularly suited to working professionals in the Management department. However, for the Health Sciences department, physical attendance is mandatory for practical work and laboratory sessions.
How do the professional internships work?
Internships are a mandatory component of our curriculum. CAMASSISTANCE has a network of partner healthcare facilities (referral hospitals, specialised clinics, NGOs). We support each student in finding their internship placement to ensure a quality hands-on experience.
Do you offer scholarships or payment plans?
We believe that talent should not be held back by financial means. Tuition fees can be paid in several instalments throughout the academic year. Merit-based scholarships are awarded annually to top-performing students, and needs-based scholarships are available subject to means testing.
Does the institute welcome international students?
Absolutely. We take pride in our diversity. We support international students with their administrative procedures (equivalences, accommodation, integration). Our Yaoundé campus is a multicultural hub.
Can I apply if I don't have a science-oriented baccalaureate?
For the Health Sciences department, a science-oriented baccalaureate (C, D or equivalent) is generally required. However, for the Health Management department, we accept candidates from arts or economics backgrounds, subject to bridging courses or relevant experience in the sector.
Does the institute have its own laboratories?
Yes. CAMASSISTANCE has invested in state-of-the-art simulation laboratories and equipped practical training rooms. This enables our nursing and biology students to practise safely before entering a hospital setting.
What is the average class size?
We favour small class sizes (between 25 and 30 students per section) to ensure personalised support. This approach allows for direct interaction with lecturers and rigorous supervision during tutorials.
Do you offer career placement support?
Absolutely. Our Career Center organises CV-writing workshops, mock interviews and job fairs. Through our partner network, we facilitate connections between our graduates and recruiters in the healthcare sector.
What are the languages of instruction?
As an internationally-oriented institute, teaching is primarily delivered in French, but we incorporate medical and technical English modules in all our programmes to ensure our graduates' competitiveness on a global scale.
Is it possible to engage in research at the Bachelor's level?
Yes. We encourage critical thinking from an early stage. Bachelor's students can participate in data collection projects or assist our senior researchers as part of the Research Institute's activities.
Does the institute offer student housing?
Although the institute does not have its own boarding facilities, we have agreements with university residences close to campus. Our student services team assists students (particularly international students) in finding safe accommodation.
How are students assessed?
We apply a continuous assessment system (assignments, presentations, practical work) combined with end-of-semester examinations. For health programmes, clinical assessments in real-life situations are also organised.
Are there short specialisation programmes available?
Yes. For professionals already in the workforce, we offer specialisation certificates (3 to 6 months) in specialised areas such as Biomedical Waste Management, Digital Health, or Quality Management.
Can I transfer my file from another university?
Yes, through the equivalency system. If you have already completed semesters at a recognised institution, our academic committee can review your file for direct admission into the 2nd or 3rd year, depending on programme compatibility.
What are the career prospects after a Master's in Health Management?
Graduates can aspire to positions such as: Healthcare Facility Director, Health Organisation Consultant, Hospital Management Auditor, Logistics Manager in international NGOs (WHO, MSF, etc.), Health Project Manager.
