Research Interests
Dr Yannick Carlos Tcheutchoua is a researcher at the Camassistance Health Science Management and Research Institute, specialised in animal physiology, phytotherapy and experimental pharmacology. He is also affiliated with the Department of Animal Biology and Physiology at the University of Yaoundé I. His research focuses on the scientific validation of African medicinal plants and their therapeutic potential in the prevention and management of cardiovascular, metabolic and inflammatory diseases. Dr Tcheutchoua's work explores the pharmacological efficacy, safety and mechanisms of action of medicinal plants used in traditional African medicine. He is the author and co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications in international scientific journals, including the Journal of Toxicology, Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and the Journal of Phytopharmacology. His work advances evidence-based phytomedicine, promotes the sustainable use of Africa's medicinal plant resources and strengthens biomedical research in Cameroon and beyond.
