Learning Objectives

Understand the fundamental principles of epidemiological surveillance and Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR).

Acquire the skills needed to collect, verify, and transmit health data in the field.

Detect epidemic outbreaks early and take part in the initial steps of alert notification.

Key Competencies

Ability to use standardized notification forms and data-collection tools.

Ability to promptly relay health alerts to the health district level.
