Program Overview

This programme in public health and medical informatics / digital health develops operational skills in designing, administering, collecting, and analyzing health data using digital health tools, with a particular focus on the open-source DHIS2 (District Health Information Software 2) platform.

Available in person, online (e-learning), or in a hybrid format.

Learning Objectives

Understand the operation and governance of Health Information Systems (HIS).

Navigate and configure the key elements of the DHIS2 platform (organisation units, data elements, data-entry forms).

Carry out the collection of aggregate and individually trackable data (Tracker/Event).

Design interactive dashboards, computerized maps (GIS), and charts for health data analysis.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and confidentiality in line with international digital-health standards.

Use data for strategic decision-making in public health.
